Simon Jagger was born in London where he developed a lifelong fascination with words and language. He spent his early years as the architect of cult London based band Milk Kan (PIAS Records) where he was performer, songwriter, poet, and lyricist. More recently he has been developing as a dramatist and short story writer. Last year his play Learning to Fly – a story about two London girls fleeing to Syria to join IS – was selected alongside six of the best London shorts and performed at the Bread and Roses theatre in London. His debut full length play Asphodel is in development with a new London fringe development company and his short story Breaking Horses was published last year in the 44Square magazine. He is currently in the process of forming a theatre company with a collective of London based writers and his new record The Glitch Country EP (Blang Records) is released in May 2018.
