Simon Jagger was born in South London where he developed a lifelong fascination with words and language. He spent his early years as the architect of cult London based band Milk Kan (PIAS Records) where he was performer, songwriter, poet, and lyricist. More recently he has been developing as a dramatist and short story writer. Last year his play Learning to Fly – a story about two London girls fleeing to Syria – was selected alongside six of the best London shorts and performed at the Bread and Roses theatre in Clapham. His short story Breaking Horses was published last year in the 44Square magazine and his new record The Glitch Country EP (Blang Records) is released in early 2018.
